The Tindatine Gorilla Group is specifically located in the Rushaga sector in the park’s southern region. This group was officially opened for gorilla trekking in January 2024 after undergoing a habituation process of approximately four years, during which trackers and researchers acclimated the gorillas to human presence. The group is a splinter from the Kahungye gorilla family, which is also based in the Rushaga sector.A family led by a silver back called Tindatine, the group is composed of 1 Silverback, 2 Adult females, 1 Blackback, 1 Sub Adult female, 1 Sub Adult Male and 1 Junevile male.
